Week 13 of Delighted Reader’s Beach Reads for the Summer of 2013! We are sad that summer is coming to a close and school is starting up once again. Today is the last recommendation for beach reads, but we loved it so much we are going to introduce recommendations each Saturday under a new theme. So come back each week and we will bring back beach reads in 2014! Now onto our last beach read recommendation for 2013.
Let’s end this summer recommendations with a BANG! How many recommendations can we give you … let’s see!
I am a big fan of Roni Loren and her Loving on the Edge series. I heard some complaints that they wished Roni would write something outside of BDSM and I am fine with that, but hey, this was an awesome book! With each story I read from Roni, I see such growth and that is what keeps me coming back for everything she writes.
And what’s not to like about a geeky, glasses wearing, dominant successful, introvert? Come on! They are hot! Wyatt fit all the fantasies I have about my own geeky, successful husband. So I adored this hero right off!
Then throw in a troubled heroine who has a past that would break many of us. She is actually the little sister of the heroine from the first book. Kelsey is one of those people who has seen the worst from the world, experienced some really bad things and has done some bad things. She came out on the other side stronger and I can’t say enough how much I loved this woman!
Give this one a try! It also gets hot with a few beach scenes, so what that makes it an awesome beach read!
Another BDSM recommendation, but this one is just as hot! There is a mystery behind the owners of Purgatory, a BDSM club, and we get a little bit of the story in each book in the series. Throw in an angry ex-husband wanting fame, a group of brothers that will do anything for each other and a couple that combusted on the pages and you have the ultimate beach read!
One Night With a Cowboy blended a lot of genres together for a book that tugs on your heart as well as your lady bits. We start off with the hunky cowboy that sweeps the little heroine right off her feet. Then we find out he is in the ROTC program, blending us with the military life. Both worlds are explored as well as the life of a college professor. These two have a lot of walls to climb to get to where they can love freely, but when they do love…it is totally freeing!
Last but definitely not least, I am recommending you read Liliana Hart’s Mackenzie series…Secrets and Satin blew me away with just how hot it can get when you are rolling around in the….you thought I would say sheets didn’t you? Well there is a lot of that as well as the meanest bad guy around that the Mackenzie family is going to take down. Redemption is the key as both characters have a lot of baggage to get over.
So sad that this beach reads feature is coming to an end. But we had a blast all summer recommending books to get you hot if you were not, on the beach. Happy Summer!
