Delighted Reader Beach Reads 2013

Week 6 of Delighted Reader’s Beach Reads for the Summer of 2013! We are excited to share with you books you should pack up to take with you on vacation! This week we are turning it over to Sophia Rose who just can’t wait to share a book you should take with you vacation!

Take it away Sophia!

I have been steadily getting through my TBR and review pile lately and I came across a few that I think will make some excellent Summer Reads.

Love, Hypothetically by Anne Tenino

#2 Theta Alpha Gamma series
M/M Contemporary Romance

First up is the lighter one of the two that I’m putting forward.  It is the second story in a series that could be read alone, but I do recommend reading it in order after the first one.  It offers summer school tutoring, sailing and picnicking with an old flame and a second chance.

A Spear of Summer Grass by Deanna Raybourn

A Spear of Summer Grass by Deanna Raybourn
Historical Romance

The second of the two was a historical romance set in 1920s Africa that will take you far away and give you the story of an exotic group of people.  The heroine is a gutsy gal who lives life on her own terms until Africa and a golden African guide/adventurer capture her attention.

Both of these have/will be reviewed on The Delighted Reader so feel free to check them out to see if one or the other might be something to add to the Summer Reading stack.

Are you one who likes your summer reads set in exotic locales or other times?  Do you like to read books set during the summer?  Or are you one that just likes to grab up the latest from your favorite authors?

Shari is the Delighted Reader. Married to her Prince Charming and mother to two Princesses and one Prince. When she is not slaving away as Cinderella she loves to get lost in the pages of a good book. Never without a reading device and a few good paperback books, because she never knows when she might get 5 minutes to read!
