Prompt:  Trees

Well, this was a no brainer for me unlike other prompts that were a bit harder.  I would have taken pictures of the trees in my neighborhood which, when the leaves start to change is gorgeous if I do say so myself.  But alas, they are taking their time and are still green and I’d rather show them on fire with the colors of Autumn.  Instead, I went with some pictures I took when I was out in my folks’ neck of the woods last Autumn.

These were taken in northern Utah’s Logan Canyon.

The following two tabs change content below.
I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

Oh wow those are great pictures.

Thank you, Mary. The color was so vibrant. I must have taken fifty pictures along this drive we took. 🙂

Those pictures are lovely! All the different shades of green and oranges and reds are so pretty. I love it when the tress turn orange and always hope we don’t get as many strong winds so the leaves stay on the trees extra long. The trees are starting to change color here and some already lost a bunch of leaves.

I worry about the same thing each year that too much rain and wind will take my pretty leaves before I get the chance to enjoy them. 🙂

It is always so pretty when the leaves start changing colors. We are hoping to time my daughter’s senior pictures so that some of these colors will be in the background.

I agree. Love the idea of fall scenery for senior pics. Ours were so boring.

Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures, Sophia. I really need to get out in my own area and take some. The trees are stunning right now. 🙂

When you do, post them so I can see your pretty fall colors, too, Angie. 🙂

Thank you, Sharonda! I’m still waiting for the trees in my neighborhood to turn, but was glad to share these from my trip last year. So pretty there!

Oh wow, these are beautiful. I just love seeing the leaves turn colors in the Fall. It’s taking it’s time around me too!

The colorful leaves dancing on the trees is one of my favorite things about fall. We are still green even now, but I think by the end of the week there will be color. Thanks, Lauren!

Gorgeous canyon. Our trees here are taking their time, too. lol Didn’t quite plan this prompt at the right time. Heh

If you can predict that, you are awesomesauce. We can go through the color changes anytime from mid-September to late October. Or, if mother nature’s PMS-ing, we can go from green to bare in one big rain and wind storm.

I love the natural beauty of the mountains where my folks live. I think I shot 200 pictures the day we went for our fall color drive and hikes.

I have never been to Utah, but I have seen amazing pictures of place in that state. Add these pics to the list. I love tress in the fall. The colors are my favorites.

Yes, it has such a variety of beauties between their deserts and mountains. I love how each state has its own special beauty.
