Welcome to Book Music Monday! Here at Delighted Reader we love to listen to music as we read. Often we find music that screams to us it needs to be the cover song for a book. So why not express that and have a little fun along the way. It’s easy to join in! See below for more details!

I am pairing The Darkest Lie by Gena Showalter to Every Lie by My Darkest Days. The names alone made me pair them, but the song also drew me to the book. The Darkest Lie is a book in the Lords of the Underworld series. Gideon is the keeper of the demon Lies. Everything he says has to be said in the form of a lie or else he feels incredible pain. As lies can hurt, I felt some of the Matt Walst, lead singer for My Darkest Days, pain as he sang about love with lies. The song isn’t really that deep, you know it is about love and lies hurting. The Darkest Lie is about lies, but not totally in the way lies are taken. The story has lies and then their are the lies Gideon says that just are in the negative. I have included below the YouTube video of My Darkest Days Every Lie. Enjoy!
