Week 17 of 2014

I went a little wild this week with the 50% rebate of All Romance eBooks. Yep, I didn’t realize how much I had spent until I was working on this post. Over budget and not by a little! So I went back to see how much I was over the last three months to see if it would cover this. January had $23.11 left over February had $10.47 left over and finally March had $12.58 left over for a total of $46.16 I have come in under budget.

I am going to synch up my pants and not spend any more this month. I did get one book free from buying all those books and next week I should get around $20 in a rebate for ARe.

So this week I went over budget but still came in under budget for the year. For 2014 I am exactly $28 under budget!

How was your week?

  • Wow! You kicked butt and took names with that haul. Good thing you hadn’t used up all your budget from other months. I went over by $2 because of that sale too. I got 2 Heather Long Marines and a M/M College Romance for $8 dollars, but I hit my free book and will get 50% back so I got Ball & Chain as my freebie. I got a few freebies and books I won along with one review book too.

I also tried a new on-line bookstore with a coupon and it will save me a ton in the future here and there. If you haven’t heard of The Book Outlet people, its great. It’s a Canadian company, but has a US branch too. I got $50 worth of books for $10 dollars paying no more than $6 for the most expensive which was a deluxe edition hardback. They have 50% off books all the time and a scratch and dent section and just a plain sales section that can be up to 80% off cover. It doesn’t carry everything and its an Outlet so the stuff isn’t new releases, but it had a lot. So yep! I’m done for April.

    • I’m going to try out The Book Outlet..thank Sophia. That is a good amount of savings 😉

      • It was. I couldn’t believe the prices, but its one of those things where it will be hit or miss depending on what they get in. I have relations that love YA and those are always so expensive so I was happy to buy nice hardbounds for $4-5. I got a book for myself that’s out of print in the US. Hope they have something you’ve been looking for from your wishlist. 😉

  • I avoided Allromance’s Earth Day Sale…I just know I would be going over, lols. Awesome haul though Sheri.
