Week 22 & 23 of 2014

Well, I went on vacation and left the online world behind last week. Sorry, but budget keeping is something I have to do almost right away for a week and I just didn’t have time last Saturday to work on the post. So this week you are getting two weeks for the price of one…well, I am actually writing this ahead of time and trying to come back to add books as I buy them…which really I haven’t had time to do either.

So I managed to come in under budget for May and haven’t spent a penny in June. That will probably chance starting today as I am at RAGT…and buying books.

An end to one month and a beginning of a new month. How are we doing?

How was your week?

How are you cutting your budget but still getting to read everything you want?

The following two tabs change content below.
Shari is the Delighted Reader. Married to her Prince Charming and mother to two Princesses and one Prince. When she is not slaving away as Cinderella she loves to get lost in the pages of a good book. Never without a reading device and a few good paperback books, because she never knows when she might get 5 minutes to read!
  • LOL! I’m not even sure if vacation would stop me much since I’ve been known to find books to buy almost anywhere. But whatever the reason, nice job of staying on top of your budget, Shari!
I came in way under budget in May having spent Zippo out of pocket and so far so good for the first week of June. I picked up that same Bielman freeie and got two books with my GC that were on sale. The Bronze Horseman is like 900+ pages long and I paid $2 from my GC for it so I definitely got a lot of bang for my buck.
I should do fine staying under $25 this month though I will definitely make at least 3 purchases of new releases I’m chomping at the bit for.
