We have hit Day 3 – Holiday Photo Moment!
I couldn’t just chose one moment. Like life, I have hundreds of moments saved up and pictures to prove them. So let’s start off with one of my favorite family Christmas card moments. You know the one. You have the camera on the tripod. Husband setting the timer and then jumping into the photo so we all look normal only to have….
You guessed it! My son raises his hands like he just doesn’t care
and my husband gets caught screaming NOOOOOOO!
It’s one of my favorite Christmas photos!
Last year we went to see our son perform in the Christmas show for preschool.
Well, this photo really is deceiving as my son held the pose too long making it look like
he was going mining for something up his nose.
Seriously all the kids had their fingers on their noses for Santa knows part of the song,
but my son held the pose way to long!
After the pre-school show we tried to get the kids to take a Christmas picture….and no one behaved!
Yeah, the one on the left…Mads, wouldn’t give us a straight face setting off the other two laughing.
This one is coming back to haunt her the first time she brings home a boyfriend!
When there are too many kids to wrangle….
Ever tried to get nine kids to take a photo…now that number is up to 11 (2 new babies since this picture),
but this is probably one of the best ones we have taken.
We lost the staircase as my in-laws sold their house.
Only trying to imagine how we are going to get a picture of 11 kids this year.
And last. One of my favorite photo moments because it was the last one with my stepdad alive.
My side of the family is pretty small. This is it. Just my brother and I with our kids.
Sadly this was the last Christmas with my stepdad who was my
stepdad since I was 9. This will be our second Christmas without him and
while I am not as sad as I was last year, I still remember silly things about him.
I love Christmas because of my family. I miss my Grandma Creekmur’s cookies,
my Grandma Lukasik’s pies, my stepdad’s flare for artistic precision,
my Grandpa Lukasik trying to get us to drink pickle juice (he was funny)
and my Grandpa Creekmur for forgetting to thaw the turkey for Christmas Day.
I still have photos and memories and that is what I cherish about this time of year!
