K is for Kinky!

Kinky is used in so many ways. Not just for the people who walk on the wild side. But for today lets take a walk on the wild side and do a top 5 of Kinks I have read about.

5. Flogging – flogging is when you use a short tailed like whip, but it has lots strands. It can be buttery soft to the touch or have a kick of pain to it. Even the style of flogging someone is different, from erotic warming to hard pain/pleasure.

4. Spanking – laying someone over you lap and making them take the pain for your pleasure to slaps to the ass. It at times doesn’t sound so appealing, but then you get that book that makes it seem so out of this world wonderful. Hmmm guess I will just have to take their word for it.

3. Kneeling/Crawling – Kneeling doesn’t bother me so much, especially when I am not kneeling on my own knees. Crawling on the other hand kind of smacks of humiliation, which I am not really into at all. Kneeling has crawling beat any day of the week.

2. Remote Control Vibrators – being teased by a lover who is in control is oh so sexy. When he flips the switch it all goes on and you light up like a woman on fire. Then there is the subtle feeling that someone might notice. That public kind of excitement that you get when you get away with something like this.

1. Rope Bondage – this is the kink that fascinates me the most as it is almost art to see how they work and create. It can be as basic as a simple rope to as elaborate as knots, twists and torture. I tend to like it when the hero’s twist it all up and down the heroine’s body, turning her into a work of art.

What are your thoughts on kinky?

Notable K Words I Considered

Kissing – what would lust be like with out some kissing?
Keepers – another name for my husband and kids
Keelhaul – what we all want to do to some bad guys in a book
Keratogenic – causing the growth of horns, hair or skin…just like demons!
King – only if he has a queen
Kraken – release the Kraken!
Kickapoo – another word for penis
Knob Job – if you don’t know what this is…learn how to Google.

What’s your K word of the day?

I’m not a fan of crawling either, but all the others? I’m liking 🙂 You and Anna are on the same word today 😉

I have to make some rounds on letters again. I was out of town Saturday and missed everyone’s K word!

Boy did you fill my head with mental pictures today. 😉 I don’t like humiliation either and at some point I’m going to read a story with some Shibari in it. You make it sound fascinating.

There aren’t many books that really deal with Shibari. I think because it takes a lot of time to tie all those knots and translates into a lot of reading time. But a few like Lorelei’s Bound get into it more.

I’m a fan of reading the kinky. I totally get what you are saying about crawling though. I don’t like anything to do with humiliation. Even reading it makes me mad. I wondered how many folks with go Kinky for the K word today.

Nope, humiliation is a no go for me and I will DNF it fast. I know Anna from herding cats and burning soup did Kinky too.

LOL oh I love some kinkery. I don’t love the crawling but depending on how it’s done it can work for me too. Hrm. On my list is fire play too. I’m completely fascinated by it. And always love a little bondage 🙂

I almost put down fire play! I loved it when Cherise Sinclair did a scene with it.

I really really want to read another with fireplay but haven’t found all that many that jump in on that one.

Christine d’Abo has one with a cupping scene…I remember he had a bag of frozen peas to put on burns just in case. It was in the Pull Long series…think it was book 2 or 3…it was the sister one not the M/M…I need to go look that one up.

Hmm I haven’t tried her yet! Do they work as stand alones or need to be read in series order?

It can be read as a stand alone. The series starts with three siblings then branches out to some of the people they know. They are pretty short and can be read quickly. Here’s the book I was talking about. It’s book #2 in the series: http://delightedreader.com/arc-review-shot-in-the-dark-by-christine-dabo/

Menage’ stories are hit/misses for me. But I like when the males interact more 😀

I chose music for my M word.
