Scootin Sophia Rose aside … she was scaring y’all!
Let’s start off with Halloween in the title. Bonnie Bliss offers up a tale of submission at a Halloween Party, where tricks are as much fun as treats. This was a deliciously wonderful treat of Doms, tricks and every type of submission to be had. Tom and Lucy have lusted for each other for some time, but haven’t acted upon it. When both are invited to a BDSM Halloween party, they go separately, but Tom doesn’t know he is dominating Lucy. A really short read that will have your Kindle oozing brains before you know it!
Switching gears lets swing by a vampire nest …
I really loved this new series that Larissa Ione has started around Vampires that just want to live in peace where humans control them. I loved the original take of this story line where the vampires don’t actually have much power and there is a lot of in fighting. At times the suspense was incredible and at times you just enjoyed taking a bite from the hero. I go more in-depth in my review.
Let’s still with Larissa Ione for a moment…
and why is the font red?
Let’s just begin by saying I didn’t know what I was getting into when I read this book. It was a free book when I read it and unfortunately I can’t find it right now. So if you want to read more of a horror story romance, this is it. It kind of scared me because I was expecting a little less blood and gore and more romance. If you find it, let me know!
Let’s get back to something tamer!
I have to give a nod to the Immortals After Dark. Just move on down to New Orleans and the world Kresley Cole has set up there. Add in some Lykae and a half Valkyrie/half vampire, and you have a wild ride that spans 11 books. This series is fun, scary at times, definitely sexy and just plain imaginative. It will leave your heart racing and you loins wanting more!
Want another series?
Time to wrap up this Halloween experience with a series I started about two years ago with Darkness Dawns. Dianne Duvall has created an interesting new world of vampires, aliens and other beings we haven’t quite figured out yet. Where being a vampire is a virus either you survive or don’t. It has been an interesting ride and every time I read a new book, I am transported to the fall with falling leaves even if the author didn’t mean to do that to me. Each Immortal has strength and a power, vampires like their blood, governments hold conspiracies and you never know who is truly your enemy. A great way to spend Halloween!
Last but not least!
Carrie Ann Ryan creates and interesting town called Holiday, Montana, where the Cooper brothers seem to be involved supernaturally with a lot of Holidays. Throw in a ghost and a witch around Halloween and you have a fun, sexy and lighthearted love story to keep the tingles in the right places if you catch my drift.
So maybe I didn’t scare you too bad, but I did get you some recommendations that will heat your blood, send shivers down your spine and curl your toes, just maybe not frightfully?
Read any of these books? What do you think? Got any suggestions of your own? Please share!
