Over the last several months I have noticed that I am pre-ordering more and more books. There are lots of reasons why, but in the end, I am just pre-ordering them all!

Here’s what I have on pre-order for

September 18, 2018

Rebel Hard by Nalini Singh
Hard Play #2
Contemporary Romance
Releasing on September 18, 2018

Amazon | Goodreads

Nayna Sharma agreed to an arranged marriage in the hope it would heal the fractures in her beloved family… only to realize too late that a traditional marriage is her personal nightmare. Panicked, she throws caution to the winds, puts on the tiniest dress she can find, and ends up in the arms of a tall, rough-edged hunk of a man who has abs of steel—and who she manages to mortally insult between one kiss and the next.

Abandoned as a child, then adopted into a loving family, Raj Sen believes in tradition, in continuity. Some might call him stiff and old-fashioned, but he knows what he wants—and it’s a life defined by rules… yet he can’t stop thinking about the infuriating and sexy woman who kissed him in the moonlight then disappeared. When his parents spring an introduction on him, the last woman he expects is her. Beautiful. Maddening. A rulebreaker in the making.

He’s all wrong for her. She’s all wrong for him. And love is about to make rebels of them both.

Shari’s Thoughts:

Hard Play is a spin off series from Rock Kiss – specifically the former rugby player Gabriel Bishop. The first book in the series is about his younger brother falling for a school teacher. Now the school teacher’s best friend and the brother’s best friend are getting their story steeped in traditions of the family. They started in the first book with their meeting, now I can’t wait to hear their whole story!

Charged by Gillian Zane
The Other Worlds #1
Sci-Fi Romance, Reverse Harem Romance
Releasing on September 18, 2018

Amazon | Goodreads

Bobbie Flemming was having one of those terrible, no good kind of days.

Her boss yelled at her because of something a co-worker did, her sometimes boyfriend was getting engaged to another woman, and she wore two different shoes to work. To make matters worse, she agreed to be in a charitable “most eligible” auction for her friend Chuck, who won’t speak to her if she doesn’t show up.

Bobbie doesn’t feel most eligible, and she definitely doesn’t feel like going on a date with someone so desperate they have to win her in an auction. But when two of the hottest men on the planet, who happen to be twins, show up and outbid everyone, Bobbie thinks she’s won the lottery. Until the one in charge opens his mouth and she realizes he’s bat sh*t crazy.

Now, Bobbie’s being whisked off, without her consent, to the middle of Central Park — and what is that — a spaceship?

This was how Bobbie finds herself stranded on an alien planet, with not two, but four incarnations of the same man. (They do that on their planet, it’s like their thing.) And all four of these hot alien males think Bobbie is their fated charge mate. All Bobbie knows is she didn’t sign up for this. Sure, the sex might be awesome, and the guys might be super-hot, but what does it take to get back to Earth where everything is normal, and there aren’t Emperors who want to kill her?

Shari’s Thoughts:

I haven’t read much from Gillian Zane since her NOLA Zombie series. She’s a book reviewer/author now that I enjoyed seeing move into writing. When Amazon suggested this story, I immediately went to pre-order it. I don’t know what exactly to expect, but I am looking forward to joining a new world with Gillian Zane at the helm.

It might take me a month to get to them because I have so many other reading commitments. But I can’t wait to red both of them. Maybe I need dedicate the weekend to reading the ones I have so I can read these sooner than expected, lol.

Those sound good. I haven’t pre ordered anything in a while. I have a couple in my wish list but I’m still going through a file I found with books in it and the ones I won. So until those are read I’m not buying more. lol

It seems like all my authors have new books all at once. Then I hit up NetGalley the other day. I think I am glutton for punishment!

I pre-order Patricia Briggs and CS Harris books in the spring. I think the only one I pre-ordered this fall was a special edition of a Georgette Heyer.
That new Nalini Singh does look fab.

I don’t get organised enough to pre-order! Though I do love getting ARCs 🙂

Oh, sorry to hear that. I am a half organized person. I pre-order stuff and then can’t figure out what I pre-ordered. So I started flagging the emails to make sure I get the books. I love ARCs too, but so many of my favorite authors are going Indie and I can’t get an ARC as easily as I used to. So I put them on a private wishlist and if I can’t get the ARC I then pre-order them. It’s not as organized as it sounds, lol.

Fun feature! I just pre-ordered a couple of audiobooks – Fury and Dracul – and am looking forward to it.

Thanls Carole! I don’t know if I will have one each week because I don’t pre-order everything, but figured it would be fun to share the ones I do know about. Fury and Dracul are good ones. I have Consumed by J.R. Ward on audio pre-ordered. I am also going to a conference next week where we are getting advanced finished copies of the book. I just don’t have the greatest eye-sight for book print any more, so I love my Kindle.

I don’t pre-order too often, but I tend to do it more when there is a fun pre-order “prize” or giveaway attached. 🙂

That sounds fun! A lot of authors are going Indie and I can’t get their ARCs any more. So I have to resort to buying the books. So I pre-order!
