Reading Challenge Year End Wrap Up for Sophia- 2015

Whew! This year was one slippery little sucker. I don’t think it slowed down much at all which is why my brain keeps thinking that it should be like September or something. Needless to say, I managed to do very well with the challenges for which I signed up. I was cautious in my goals at the beginning and ended up having to increase my goals on several once I got going. I tried a few new to me challenges and continued with a few that I enjoy each year. All were fun and each challenge provided something special for me whether it was introducing me to a new author, series, sub-genre or rekindling my love for specific genres or even just reducing the sheer number of unread books on my actual and virtual shelves. My thanks go out to the blogs who put these together and hosted all year long. It was a pleasure, ladies!

And now, I’ve already started plotting for my New Year of challenges which include four we are hosting here at Delighted Reader. Jump in and join! We’d love to have you. I’ll share my 2016 Reading Challenge Initial Post in January.

What about you? Did you do any challenges this year? Any new to you? How’d you do? Are you planning to participate in a reading challenge for 2016?

The following two tabs change content below.
I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.
