The Delight
Another Immortal Guardians story! It’s been a long time my old friends, but we finally get a new novel in this series to make me squee! Aidan O’Byrne did something in a past book that made my heart break for him. So I am excited to see him find love, with a side of evil coming his way (boo!).
Review
Aidan O’Byrne was introduced to us in an earlier story. So lonely he broke into the network to obtain a list of names…names of female gifted ones. If you haven’t read this series, this may be confusing. Basically, some humans are born ‘”gifted” and the rest not. When infected by a vampire, the normal people become vampires and eventually go crazy. The “gifted” ones become Immortal Guardians. Some gifted know they have this choice while others go through life never knowing. So that’s the basic version.
Aidan has lived a solitary, lonely life. It is hard to fall for a mortal who will age and die, while he lives on unaffected by time. But too much time by himself has made him desperate for love. So when Immortals start finding their one true love, he wants a piece of it. So bad he is willing to defy Seth and face death for it.
So Aidan starts making up reasons to meet the women on his list. Sometimes a flat tire, sometimes being a client in their business. But he is more gentleman in his tiny finger than most men are in their entire body. And this is how me meets Dana Pembroke, a psychic who sees visions of past and future by simple touch, who doesn’t know anything about the Immortal Guardian or gifted ones world. So what better way to meet your possible mate than to get a psychic reading….especially when you own powers include mind reading 🙂
Now someone is targeting the women Aidan has met. Now it is a race against time to prevent the visions they have seen, stop the kidnappings and fall in love. Yep, it is an action packed romance with a side of suspense and vampires….oh my.
I loved getting back in this world, but struggled remembering what happened in the last book as there was a large span of time between them. Add to that, I think the author went Indie because I didn’t see her book pop up with the publisher…I found it by reading a review on another site. This all made it more complicated than I would have liked continuing with the series.
Aidan delighted me at every turn. He was fierce, protective, but also allowed Dana to make her own decisions about her life and fate. Dana was also supportive and in reality she could have collapsed from all the information she found out, not to mention being attacked by vampires coming to get her. It was the right blend of timing that made this story a great one in a series I adore.

I keep meaning to start this series because the world, the characters, and the plots sound so good. Aidan sounds wonderful.
I loved the series early on and then it seemed to decline some before picking back up with this one. It seems she went Indie, which makes harder for me t keep up now that most of my favorites have gone that way too. Aiden is to swoon for he is so hot and gentlemanly at the same time.
I’ve got this author on my TBR list to try. Keep meaning to read her. One of these days. Thank’s for the review!
The first book is awesome and then you won’t want t stop.
Ooh sounds like a fun series, and another great installment. I’m glad you enjoyed this one. I like that it’s action packed.
