In eight years of marriage, Eric Carlson has never forgotten to kiss his wife Jessica goodbye—until this morning. As Jessica runs her errands, all she can think about is the missing kiss. When Eric calls to tell her he thinks he left the toaster oven on, she rushes home, annoyed and afraid her house may be burning down. Instead of smoke and flames she finds Eric, looking hot and sexy as hell as he prepares fresh waffles.
Eric knows he and Jessica have been drifting apart. He’s bought the hot new product everyone’s talking about—the Spice Rack, guaranteed to spice up your love life. The jar he opens advises them to “Spend a decadent day indulging all your senses.” With the whole day ahead of them, a fridge full of tempting treats and the house to themselves for a change, that’s exactly what Eric intends to do—in the kitchen, on the washing machine, wherever the mood strikes. And Jessica’s got a super-steamy surprise for him too.
Decadence is a story of a married couple reconnecting with one another after eight years of marriage. I could so relate to this story as I am going on 17.5 years of marriage and life just plain gets in the way of intimacy. They have three kids (all boys), work, starting a new business, moving into a new house, school, mortgage, car payments, family…just plain life. Then one day you wonder when the last time you were intimate, sweaty, wild and uninhibited because really, at the end of the day you are just to tired to do anything other than go to sleep.
Eric realizes they are growing apart and he worries about things like affairs, divorce and continuing the way they have. In eight years of marriage he always kisses his wife good-bye. But this morning is different. He has plans, plans he intends to surprise his wife with. The “Spice Rack” is coming out to play.
Jessica is growing depressed with her life and uncertain of where she fits. When her husband calls her home because he can’t remember if he turn an appliance off, she rushes home to find him making fresh waffles. Well the waffles aren’t the only hot things in the kitchen.
The Spice Rack provides them with opportunities to express the love they still feel for each other. Most importantly it gets them talking about their wants and needs as well as acting on them. Along with that, Jessica’s mysterious dance classes are revealed and you don’t want to miss it.
This is one little hot novella to start off the Spice Rack series. I want to know where I can get a Spice Rack like this. Every couple needs on I think!
I recommend this to anyone who understand that life takes away from a couples sexuality and how they need to reclaim it. Also, about being open and honest with your partner because you just might be surprised with how much you find out! A great start to a Spice Rack series!
