New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the world of the Reapers Motorcycle Club…
Looking back, none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could’ve walked away from him if I’d had it with me.
Or maybe not.
Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would’ve found another way. Probably—if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me.
Right from the first.
Shade's Lady is a stand-alone story. There is no need to have read any prior Reapers MC stories to enjoy Shade's Lady.
I am so excited to be back in Reaper’s territory and watching these bad boys fall for the women who can hold their own while being a lady. While we don’t see the Reaper’s we know and love, we get the President’s story, which is a different kind of life from a regular Reaper.
Shade’s Lady is a sexy, brash, trashy, dirty, and often times raw romance with men who take what they want and don’t ask for forgiveness. They are loyal, but they will fuck you over if you mess with them or their brothers. Shade is the president of the Reaper’s MC so he has to be a special kind of badass to keep his position and run it all. Totally alpha, he goes after what he wants and he doesn’t take no for an answer.
Mandy is a gritty young woman who seems to be in the wrong places as the wrong times. Trying to pull herself up form her lot in life isn’t easy. She lives with her sister and nieces while finishing up her probation. Living in that trashy trailer is the best they can do and she doesn’t want any help or a man to take care of her. She just wants her freedom because men never help you, they only get you in trouble.
No push-up on earth could ever make my modest rack compete. Still, my jeans were tight, my bra was red, and I’d recently run fresh out of fucks to give.
When her just for sex boyfriend does her wrong, she is left at the mercy of Shade, who really has no mercy in him. His rough but honorable ways left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Mandy stands up for herself, and makes an impression on a lot of people, including Shade who decided he has to have her while he’s in town.
The two play cat and mouse for a bit, but when it’s time to get real, it gets down, dirty and for real in unlikely places. Shade wants to help Mandy, but not support her. She won’t let him because of course men can’t do anything right. Use their dicks and leave them hanging.
He was the biggest, nastiest bastard in the room – not to mention easy on the eyes – and deep down inside I just knew we’d make beautiful babies together. Too bad I already sort of had a boyfriend….Shade was so potent we’d probably have quintuplets or something crazy on the first try.
When a situation peaks the danger levels, Shade must work hard to overcome Mandy’s objections, but also get her to make a commitment that leaves her free. He doesn’t want commitment any more than she does, so it has to be a way to give freedom to both.
While we are back in the Reaper’s world, this is at a National level so you don’t have to have any backstory to understand this romance. It’s just as dark and gritty as the other stories, but a stand alone within the same world.
