Warrior is the final book on the Breeder series about a planet where the males rule in two classes, Alpha and Betas, while the women are only used as Breeders, anal sex and domestic discipline. It is a very harsh society where nipples are pierced to denote their alliance or ownership. Alphas bond with male betas and get Breeders (women) from facilities where women are sent until they are bought. Punishment is often swift and painful.
In the first two books we saw two Alpha rulers on the planet meet women that basically took them down and made them realize that the protocol they have been living isn’t right, but make no mistake they still believe in domestic discipline and keeping order. Now Anika, the sister of a powerful Alpha, is being sold to another Alpha to ensure alliances in the war that has come between the five Alpha leaders. Determined to not be sold again, Anika takes off in the night in a world that will eat her up. Hot on her tale is her brother’s former partner and beta, Urazi.
With war plaguing every city, the two are forced to play Alphas working for the enemy. Each has an agenda to kill the Alpha they are faking their pledge to, but also falling in love for each other. Nothing is safe. Nothing is comfortable. Urazi may be beta, but he shows his Alpha side to Anika when needed. Even if she can’t seem to get the message he is trying to deliver.
War is ravaging the country, while protocols long held in honor are crumbling. The story is a race against time to win, fall in love and try to not die in the mean time. The sex is rough, quick and exactly what you would expect from a planet of men who don’t know how to treat a woman. The spankings aren’t very erotic, but then again he means them as punishment.
This is the end of the Breeder series, so it wraps up nicely and in a way that gives you hope for a planet that needs all the hope it can get.
