In Rocky Mountain Desire we wrap back around to Matt Coleman, who we saw with a girlfriend in previous novels. His now ex was a piece of work. Matt truly loved her and wanted to make her happy, going so far to arrange a menage for her. She treated him like shit most of the time. She found her with cheating on him with other men, thus breaking his heart pretty bad.

Now he has moved on, but isn’t going to have a lasting relationship for a long time. Until he meets his ex’s sister, Hope Meridan. Hope owns the local quilting shop that she was supposed to open with her sister. Struggling to make ends meet after the loss of her sister’s help and monetary donation, she often travels to quilting parties to sell her wares. Just so happens she ends up at one at Matt Coleman’s mother’s house.

Matt is attracted, but having been hurt he can’t seem to come to terms the burgeoning feelings he as for Hope. Not to mention he is a little bothered out on hooking up with the little sister he knew as a teen. Not to mention he is trying to keep his life relationship free. Hope’s been attracted to Matt for a while and she is hurting also from her sister’s abandonment. So Matt offers friendship with a side of jealousy when Hope won’t settle for sitting at home just being friends.

Matt is a little overbearing in his pursuit that he doesn’t think he is making. He just wants to be friends, but his jealousy is a thing of beauty. When another man shows an interest, the two go about doing things to one up another that leaves you heart warmed at what Matt will do for Hope.

Hope was a strong woman I adored. She opened a business she thought she was going to have help. She’s struggling a little, but putting all her effort into making it a success. She thinks up new ways to do business, how to manage electric bills and generally tries to be a good citizen in her town. Taking crap from a cowboy and a mechanic aren’t on the list and she stands up for herself, her heart and what she wants. Throw in the sister coming back and putting tendrils of doubt in both of their minds, that in the end, didn’t bear fruit.

These two were hot between the sheets with Matt having a dominant streak and Hope having an adventurous streak. The two mastered the bed together, but took some time to learn to master each others hearts. With a town full of Colemans, these two wil be adding the family tree and making me cry with sweetness…but first they made my loins burn!

You have a great site! I love the “heat” ratings, too. XD

I have to say, I’m usually not all for the guys who are big, bad, and jealous, but Matt seems like he might be worth overlooking that to check out the rest of the series. Awesome review!

      Thank you Brittany!

Matt was so in love and got a really bad deal when she left him. I wanted him to find love like he wanted. I loved this story!

Very light as he dominates things, but this isn’t a BDSM book at all. More like exploration and him being alpha. But she doesn’t just roll over and take everything. She gives as good as she gets.

I have only read a few of her books, but all of them have been good.
