S is for Studs & Spurs!
They have me at ‘Howdy Darling!’ every time. Put a man in a Stetson, some Wranglers, hand-tooled leather boots, add a western style chambray shirt along with some ranching or rodeo skills and just gah!!! I love cowboy heroes.
I don’t really have a favorite book cowboy, but I tend to like them the tougher and grittier the better. Spice and kink are okay and I’ve read some red hot cowboy heroes of that variety, but my studs also have to be the real deal and not just a guy duded up.
Like in these western historicals: Roseanne Bittner’s Sage Lightfoot in Paradise Valley and Lori Austin’s Luke Phelan in The Lone Warrior. Added to that, I like Carolyn Brown’s contemporary Texan cowboys in her Cowboys & Brides series and Mary Calmes’ Rand Holloway a ranch owner in her Timeless series.
What about you? Do you like your men with a little Giddiyup and Western drawl?
What are your thoughts about ?
Notable S Words I Considered

Shari or Sophia – Aren’t those awesome names?
Smiles– Free and needed gifts
Sizzling – on the stove or in bed, the sound of sizzle will get our blood moving
Sassy – in small doses this can be ultra sexy
Shoes – I am not a shoe girl. Can’t walk in heels and rather have tennis shoes.

What’s your S word of the day?
