Sophia Rose’s 2015 Reading Challenges

Posted January 1, 2015 by Sophia Rose in Challenge / 9 Comments

I love reading challenges for a variety of reasons and I was so tickled when I discovered them about three years ago. I’ve been addicted ever since. This is my initial post, but I will update each month with highlights of outstanding books. I have established GoodReads bookshelves dedicated to each challenge for those who wish to see each book that I have read toward the challenges. You’re welcome to ‘friend’ or ‘follow’ me (Sophia Rose: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/5063928-sophia ) on GoodReads to check them out. If I have the time and energy, I might put some notations with my blog reviews too of which challenge(s) the book meets.

Wish me luck! Are you taking any Reading Challenges this year?

The following two tabs change content below.
I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

  • I’m so happy you’re going to read The Dark Hunter series. It’s one of my favorites. I haven’t signed up for any reading challenges but I will challenge myself to keep track of what books I read this year. I know I read around 200 books last year but I stopped keeping track around book 140. lol

  • Whoa! Impressive. Let’s go and have some fun with these.

  • Melanie Simmons

    Looks like some fun challenges.

  • Whew Sophia what a variety of challenges! I’m doing 4 plus the Goodreads challenge. I’m tempted to try an audio challenge but haven’t worked up the courage quite yet. Can’t wait to see your reads!

    • Yeah, whew is right! This will definitely keep me busy. I was thinking about an audio challenge too, but I think I’ll hold off for now with all these keeping me busy.

  • Good Luck Sophia! :0

  • Shari Delighted Read

    Watch her go!

    • I am off to the races. It totally helps that ARe is doing their giveaway for reviews turned in during January. I have a stack of books I bought there that I haven’t read and reviewed yet.
