Hello to everyone at Delighted Reader, and thank you for inviting my comments! I’m Rosanne Bittner, author of 60 historical romance novels. I’ve been writing over 30 years and love, love, love my subject – American history, especially America’s Old West and Native Americans. My books are well researched and always involve real history, real events and real places. I just get my fictitious characters involved in a particular event or time period and off we go! My newest book is DESPERATE HEARTS from Sourcebooks. I’ll tell you about the story, but first I’d like to answer the question you gave me – what are my five favorite things about fall?

  1. My most favorite thing about fall is the weather. As I write this it’s a hot, muggy day in Michigan, but before long we will get that lovely fall weather – cool days, cold nights, crispy blue skies.

  1. The second thing I love about fall is FOOTBALL! I am a Notre Dame fan and a Bears fan – but I love watching other teams and football in general. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? Yes!

  1. Another thing I love about fall is the smell in the air. I live in a farming community, and you can smell apples and grapes in the fall. And there is a special smell to falling leaves and often, the smell of burning those leaves.

  1. Also, fall means beautiful colors. Here in Michigan we have lots of hardwood trees, and they turn to colors of yellow, orange, deep red and even purple. It’s just gorgeous.

  1. And of course fall means we are approaching Thanksgiving – my favorite holiday. I do all the cooking and the whole family comes over. There is nothing like the smell of that turkey roasting in the oven and all those side dishes – and of course after dinner we all sit around watching FOOTBALL!

I have written too many titles to list here, so if you go to my web site at www.rosannebittner.com you can find a list of all my books and how to get them. I also have a blog at www.rosannebittner.blogspot.com, and I am on Facebook, Twitter, Google, Amazon, Linkedin, Pinterest, Goodreads and many other sites. Thank you again for inviting a visit. I hope to hear from many of you after reading DESPERATE HEARTS!

I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

What state are you in again? FL? That where I want to move too

I’m in Michigan. I don’t think I could do the Florida summers, but I can see why you would want to go there. We have lots of ‘snowbirds’ from here that winter in Florida and summer here.

Haha! I’ve lived a few different places so you’ve probably seen references to stuff that confused you. I laughed when I heard about the Snowbirds for the first time too.

Ooo pretty cover! I’m with you on the Fall. I love the cooler weather and the colors. I’m in NC now but grew up in Florida and we so didn’t have that. Thanks for the intro to your books!
