T is for Thankfulness!
My usual posts have been about book characters and types of Romance I love, but today I had a little something different on my mind. My mom always taught me that the ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ was not just reserved for one day in November, but was something daily to contemplate. I’ve always remembered that and tried to live it- not always successfully, but I try.
So today, I wanted to share who and what I’m thankful for when it comes to this blog challenge.
First, I am thankful to Shari for giving me a chance to review books at the blog, for passing along some great review opportunities, for letting me take on some independent tasks with authors, publishers and tours (and if you knew my near ignorance of tech stuff you’d realize what a gamble she took), for talking books with me and for just being an all around amazing admirable professional blogger and on-line pal. (And just to go there with TMI- I consider Shari The Iron Horse when it comes to her ability to keep on keeping on. She has so much going on and trust me there is a lot, but she doesn’t let it keep her down.) There it was in parentheses so that makes it okay to say mushy stuff.
Second, I am thankful to the authors who have worked hard and put out some phenomenal books for me to enjoy and for the authors who graciously entrust their books to me for review just putting it out there with no other expectations than an honest review.
Third, I am thankful to the many book bloggers who work hard to run a great blog where I can come and feel like I’ve had a nice cozy warm visit and also yet another intriguing book for my wish pile.
And finally, I am thankful to all who stop by The Delighted Reader to read our posts, share some laughs, tears or frustrations over our books, and leave Shari and I encouraged to keep putting up our posts each day (actually, full disclosure here- Shari does all the formatting posting b/c I don’t have a clue).
What’s got you feeling the gratitude lately? Anyone in the blogoverse you want to give a shout out for?
Notable T Words I Considered
Tearjerkers – We love ‘em, but we hate ‘em
Tropes – They can be fun and familiar, but also trite too
Transportation – I dig them all whether a cowboy and his truck, a biker and his hog, a billionaire and his Italian Sports car
Tarzan – Just because okay, don’t dig into my psyche too far; it’s a scary place. Haha!
Tom – my loving husband of 18 years (Shari)
Time Travel Romance – for taking heros and heroines out of their comfort
Today – because the present is a present
Tickles – when the moment is to grave, tickling makes it more fun
What’s your T word of the day?
