Sophia's To Read or Not

And it’s the start of a new year and I have big plans.  One of them is to continue putting a dent in my TBR pile particularly my older review books.  I’m going to make them the priority focus of my TBR Pile elimination and you, our super delightful readers, will be a great help.

Each month, I will post up a pair (or more) of books.  I would like you to vote on a choice.  Yes!  You will have the job of telling me what to read from my pile each month.  I welcome your vote no matter what reason you choose (frivolous, serious or otherwise) that particular book and do share your reason in the comments just because I’m nosy.  I will update everyone at the end of the month in my reading update and will of course share my thoughts on the book itself in my review.

I went with a theme for this month which I think will be obvious when you see the titles.

Choice #1

Last Chance Hero by Hope Ramsay

#9 Last Chance

Choice #2

Last True Hero by Diana Gardin

#1 Battle Scars

I look forward to reading whichever you pick.

Shari is the Delighted Reader. Married to her Prince Charming and mother to two Princesses and one Prince. When she is not slaving away as Cinderella she loves to get lost in the pages of a good book. Never without a reading device and a few good paperback books, because she never knows when she might get 5 minutes to read!

  • I picked the first one because the dog is cuter that the guy on the other cover. lol

    • Haha, yes! That totally works for me, Christy. I’m a sucker for a Dalmatian, too.

  • I love Hope Ramsay and her Last Chance series!! Hope you do too!

    • Absolutely, Ashley! I’ve been a fan for a few years. I do need to go back and get the first four in the series. Eventually, sigh. 🙂

  • Apparently, Last true hero has better reviews on GR, but I’m afraid Last chance hero tempts me more ^^

    • Hmm, now you have me curious to see if I follow the rating trend or not. I tend to be a rebel about that sort of thing and get quirky with my reading taste. 🙂 It’s the dog on the cover for you and the hero firefighter, right? Haha!

      • I don’t like men in uniform, but I love pretty gardens, houses and of course the dogs, lol !

        • Aha! Yes, this series has a fair amount of that and they are included a lot since the town’s quirky characters all get involved in the stories.

  • Tough one!

    • Yep. Hero vs. hero. Making you guys work. 🙂

  • I haven’t read either author, but hope ramsay has been on my list for the longest while. And the cover is so charming.

    • I think you would really enjoy her books. I happened across them around book five. They are down home and heartwarming small town stuff. And yes, those covers are always the cozy charm sort. Love how each one matches the story.

  • I voted for Last Chance Hero as it has a dog on the cover. The cover looked cute, so I voted for that one. i hope you enjoy whichever book wins. I really should get some of my older review books read soon too, but I am trying to read the newer ones first.

    • Very adorable cover! And that is such a hard choice for me at times. I’ve compromised by making a list to do a bit of both and work really hard not to snag so many new ones. 🙂

  • Hope! Hope! Hope! Hope! lol Love that series. I think I just brought it into the lead too. Woo! 😉 Both look great though 🙂 Happy reading!

    • Buahaha! Yes, you did break the tie. Hope is a treasure so I match your enthusiasm. Love her series.

  • This is a cute idea! 🙂 Love it!

    • Thanks, Lisa! It really does help me crack down on my pile of books. Peer pressure is a great thing in this instance. 🙂

  • I went with Last True Hero because it looked like a small town romance. Plus I can’t pass up a dog on the cover!

    • He is a cutie! I hope he has a big part in the story. Love when animals are almost one of the characters.
