To Be or Not to Be…Read TBR Pile Vote October 2017

Sophia's To Read or Not

Each month, I will post up a pair (or more) of books.  I would like you to vote on a choice.  Yes!  You will have the job of telling me what to read from my pile each month.  I welcome your vote no matter what reason you choose (frivolous, serious or otherwise) that particular book and do share your reason in the comments just because I’m nosy.  I will update everyone at the end of the month in my reading update and will of course share my thoughts on the book itself in my review.

There is a certain category of books on my shelves that I am particularly ashamed to have neglected- the giveaway wins.  Here, someone generously gave away their book, I entered the contest, and won-woohoo, but then there it sat…  I am determined to do better about this.  So, here, we’ll start with two choices.

Candidate #1

Elsker by S.T. Bende
#1 The Elsker Saga
New Adult Paranormal Romance

Candidate #2

Angeli by Jody Wallace
#1 Maelstrom Chronicles
Paranormal Romance

The following two tabs change content below.
I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

Haha, yes, I’m with you on the appeal of those, Christy. 😉

Both of these are new to me so I didn’t have much to go off of! I went with #1 though, because Norse mythology!

Have a lovely week. =)

I have a weak spot when mythology is blended into a story, too.

Yes, and this is why I like the vote- I don’t have to pick. LOL.

Thanks, Lily!

I voted for Elsker, I read it back when it got first released and I enjoyed it. Although now that i think about it, I don’t think I’ve finished the series.

Oh neat! Glad to get a vote after you already enjoyed it. LOL, I have so many series that remain unfinished after I started them.

I picked Angeli just for the cover.

Those are gorgeous dynamic colors behind the angel. Don’t blame you there, Mary!

Went with Elsker. Not sure why other than it sounded a bit better

Hey, gut feeling is a great reason. Thanks, Lorna!

I almost went with book 2 because of the cover, but then I read the blurbs. Book 1. 🙂

I’m a blurb girl, too. 🙂

Looks like we are all going for the same book…hehe.

Yeah, not a neck and neck contest here. But there could be a late sprint to bring it closer… 😉

I went with the second book but only because I like that cover more. It looks like I am in the minority though. I hope you enjoy whichever book you end up reading 🙂

I do love that cover especially since it matches the blurb which one can’t always count on. Oh yes, poor Angel needs some votes. 🙂

I like the cover for the second book so I chose that one since I haven’t heard of these authors before. I hope you enjoy whichever book you decided on doing.

Something about the title, Angeli and that cover seems to be calling me, so that was my choice. Can’t wait to see what wins! Hugs…RO

It is an intriguing title and I do love the cover, too. Thanks, Ro! 🙂

Yes, that does make it tough. They were both new to me as well. 🙂
