Vanilla Twist by C.J. Ellisson is the continuing story or Heather and Tony. While I skipped book 2 in the series (by accident), I don’t recommend reading book 3 without book 1. Book one introduces Heather and Tony to each other and they get a happy for now story. Book 3 pretty much picks up where that left off and throws you in the deep end. Even though I read book one, I still had some tough times remember things like how Heather got to be CFO or why Tony quit his job.
Heather came out of a very bad relationship that creeps its ugly head up in this story. But this also gave her the confidence to make some changes in her life, namely being more assertive in the bedroom. While this is not a true BDSM romance, it probably is more of a normal, healthy romance where the two trade the power from time to time and explore their sexuality together.
Tony pretty much was a womanizer before Heather. When Heather asserted herself, he liked it…a lot. Now that he has quit his job, we find out his net worth is pretty good, but Heather doesn’t know about that. The two both deal with issues with exs that they have to learn to share with each other to strengthen their relationship.
I loved watching these two grow. Even when the author threw things at them that anyone would have a hard time dealing with, these two learned and grew from that. There is a lot of time spent between the sheets and even that lends itself to some discovery of hobby talents that are really good.
Overall, this is a quick read with enough spice to keep the snow outside, the insides warm and a hot heart wanting these two to live happily ever after.
C.J. Ellisson is the USA Today Bestselling author of the New York Times Bestselling book, Vanilla on Top, the bestselling V V Inn series, and several erotica shorts. She lives in northern Virginia with her husband, two children, three dogs, and a fluffy black cat who makes her sneeze.

C.J. works daily to put her Lupus into remission and continues to fight numerous bacterial infections while her immune system slowly attacks her body. She turned to writing when she could no longer work outside the home and claims the escape of penning contemporary fantasy, erotica, and erotic romance has helped save her sanity.
