Review Reboot
When Sophia Rose threw down a challenge Daring Me to read Sports Romance, I thought, no sweat. Or maybe a some sweat! Sports romances are one of my all time favorite troupes. What’s not to love about men running around in tight clothing, cups and pads? Or working out while being a human with a normal life outside of their sports. And it takes a special woman to love an athlete. And vise versa. A man who can love a confident, athletic woman! Along with some new reviews, I figured we could showcase some older ones that feature athletes! Enjoy!
The Delight
Getting a quick romance at the holidays with a dance and hockey player. It’s sexy and fun to watch these two overcome their issues, but still enjoy the season.
Patrick “Trick” Niemeyer where have you been all my life? Oh, right playing hockey in New York. Well, and the fact that you are seeing Stella Slovinski. These two met in a previous book in the Play by Play series and had a quick fling. Both got busy with their own careers and drifted apart. Stella is a dancer while Trick is a hockey player.
Now a year later they run into each other in a bar and the heat between them hasn’t gone away. Still keeping it light, they embark on a sexy relationship that Stella is quick to point out isn’t a relationship. Stella once had a wonderful relationship go bad and has sworn off having them. But Trick has fallen hard and he wants more than just sex when they have time.
This is a quick and sexy story that hit a few wonderful buttons as I just recently visited New York and Broadway. I was fun to see what Stella does for her love of career, which kept me thinking of all my daughter will have to do one day. Then throw in a guy who isn’t afraid to get on the ice and rough things up.
These two worked great together and Trick showed her not all guys are the same. Some have some integrity.
A wonderful way to start the holiday reading, Holiday on Ice is a cute, sexy read from beginning to end.

Go get her, Trick! Glad he didn’t let her past stop him.
It hit both the holidays and the sports romance that are good for this time of year.
