The Delight

Alien dragons come to earth?  Why not!  I’ve enjoyed the author’s previous alien sci-fi romances so I’m jazzed to see this new series featuring alien shifter dragons and the earth ladies who sooth their savage beasts.

As a prequel, this one had the job of providing an intro to the main characters, the world, and a taste of what is to come.  This was a short vignette from the perspective of Prince K’ev when he’s sent to earth on a goodwill tour as his father’s representative after they solidified a treaty.  He’s not exactly impressed with humans or the need to hold himself in check until he encounters an intrepid child, Rhianna, who shows only curiosity and no fear.

It was an intro to the two characters who will get their story in the following first book in the series after Rhianna grows up.  My curiosity is up and I look forward to seeing what comes next now that the humans have their first encounter with aliens and they just happen to be lethal dragons.

I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

I was a late comer to her books and started in the middle of her cyborg series, but yes, I love them, too, Mary!

I’ve not tried this author, but this prequel looks like a good place to start…and hello DRAGONS!

Yeah, they are light and fun. Not the high fantasy dragons.

Oh yes, he’s grumpy and a little snarky and she was so courageous and curious. I want to see what happens when she grows up.

I grabbed this one too, but I haven’t read it yet. Glad to see it was a good intro. I love Cara’s books too.

Its a quick little vignette that introduces the two main characters. I’ll be curious to see how things go in the full-length story.

Sounds like this one did it’s job of making you curious about the rest of the series :). I hope the first book is a good one too.
