The Delight
A great start to the Submissive’s Wish series about Russian Doms an the American women who fall for them. Deeply rich in culture, this shows a side of Russia I would love to get to know. The two lovers are interesting and left me wanting more from all these openly sexual characters. With travel from America to Russia, you see into the lives of these wonderful characters.
Gia Lopez is watching her fantasy come alive by being auctioned off at the Submissive’s Wish Charity Auction. After a few years submitting to a married couple as their shared submissive, Gia hope to find love in a long term relationship, but not at this time. When she is purchased by a Russian Dom, she is at once excited and terrified of what is in store for her, but then again everyone is vetted so closely that she shouldn’t have anything to fear, right?
Ivan has an instant attraction to the beauty on the stage and must have her from the get-go. Wanting to provide her with the best experience he can, he finds out her fantasy is to be kidnapped and he goes out of his way to make it believable. Taking her away to a resort his fellow Russian friends have rented, he treats her like a queen and beds her lavishly. But there is one little problem….Gia believes she really has been kidnapped! Way to go Ivan for making it oh so real!
As the two get to know each other, they realize they have a connection that goes beyond a week of kink. A whirl-wind romance ensues while Gia tries hard to keep from falling for her Russian Master, knowing their time will be up soon and like Cinderella, she must go back to her crappy job and income without love holding her up.
Ivan’s Captive Submissive delivers on so many levels. Ivan is a Master and giving Gia what she needs while also respecting that she is a professional outside of the bedroom. He wants her to come back to Russia with him, but has to pave a way that is safe for her, but also allows her to continue the career that gives her satisfaction.
While Ivan is not part of the Russian Mafia, he is the nephew of the head of a Bravta, whom wants him to take over some day. We meet some scary characters along the way and some interesting people as well. Dimitri (second book), gets to help with Ivan’s kidnapping and even offers to buy Gia at one point. Alex (third and fourth book) also plays a part in the story. Catrin and Nico, married, but swingers, take part in a F/F scene. Through it all, we learn the beauty of Russia while also keeping a healthy respect for the dark sides is holds.
While there is a lot of BDSM there are also sweet times outside the bedroom. The sex is erotic and dreamy with times I wanted to pull Ivan out of the book. Besides wanting Gia as his wife and submissive, Ivan shows her respect and love along the way. I so wanted to see these two get together!
Erotic while being full of culture, Ivan’s Captive Submissive delivers a punch of steamy times with a love that kept me happy.

Ivan does sound like a great guy. That is neat that she included the Russian culture so much both light and dark sides.
Ivan is one of my favorites so far in this series. I really like Dimitri in the second book at first, but it changes quick. Right now I am finishing up Alexsandr’s story and can’t say I like him at all. All of the books are deep in Russian culture.
OK, Ivan sounds dreamy..and I like that there is some BDSM.
I loved Ivan and how he tried everything to make her come to Russia with him, but wasn’t too overbearing.
