Cowboy Bold by Carolyn Brown

Nothing says summer like cowboy romance so for this week’s summer recommendation, I’ve chosen Carolyn Brown’s latest new Longhorn Canyon series release, Cowboy Bold.  Her contemporary cowboy stories are light, heartwarming, and make small towns and ranches, and the people who live there a fun place to read about.  Releasing May 29th.

Series: Longhorn Canyon #1
Genres: Contemporary Romance
Released on May 29, 2018
Pages: 336

One city girl, one die-hard rancher, and eight mischievous kids. What could go wrong?

Every summer Cade Maguire looks forward to opening his Longhorn Canyon Ranch to underprivileged city kids. But this year, he’s having no luck finding a counselor for the children-until Retta Palmer walks through his door.
Flat broke after selling everything she owns to pay her father’s medical bills, Retta is thrilled to hear of an opening for a counselor position. She’s not as thrilled about the ranching part, or the sexy cowboy with beautiful blue eyes who’s her new boss.
After being left at the altar two years before by his fiancée, Cade isn’t sure he can take another heartbreak. And Retta isn’t even sure she wants to stay. But the sparks between them are absolutely undeniable. And with a couple of lovable kids and two elderly folks playing matchmaker, Cade and Retta may find that the best way to heal is with each other.

The following two tabs change content below.
I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

I have this book and hope to read it sometime during the month of June. I wish I was going somewhere so that I could pack it in my bag 🙂

Sophia Rose

Yes! Reading at the beach with my bag full of books and goodies sounds like the high life. 🙂

That does sound like a nice summer read indeed. And form the blurb it seems it even takes place during summer as well.

Sophia Rose

Yes, it was a summer camp on a ranch. Perfect for a summer pick! 🙂

Right! Nothing screams summer like the image of sweat running down a cowboys face as he takes his hat off and swipes at it with his forearm. Sigh. LOL

I’ll have to check this one out!

Oh, now I want to rush up and offer him a cold one and get my flirt on. 🙂

Wait! I’m coming with you! He has to have a friend. 😉

Sophia Rose

A friend and a brother. Choices galore. 🙂
