Sam and Cody have settled into married life and now want the one thing they can’t make together: a baby. They are days away from getting their wish and they have everything prepared to welcome their son into their lives. The nursery is ready, the parenting classes taken, onesies lining the closet. Now they just need Gary to join their lives. But sometimes Christmas miracles come along when things get tough.
This is a sweet love story of two men who I got the honor to read about meeting, marrying and now expanding their family. They are days away from having what they want most for Christmas and we get to see them share their love in the days up to the arrival, only to find out the birth mom wants to keep her baby. Now the two must decide if their dream is best left a dream or to pursue trying to adopt a child again.
This story touched my heart so much. My husband was adopted by a couple who could not have kids. They were lucky and also adopted another son four years later. Two of my in-laws have also adopted their daughters. To see what a family has to go through to adopt is kind of painful, especially when you see people have kids who have no business raising them. At one time I was also faced with the possibility I coud not have children and while I didn’t start the adoption process, I was on the verge of looking into it when I got pregnant. Now I have three wonderful kids. So this story hit home on the need to have a child in our life, but not being able to do it own our own.
Sam and Cody do get a HEA but I won’t give the details away. Just know that the story is happy and a totally uplifting journey. And that is what I loved about Adore. It was an emotional, character driven story of love in its many forms.

My hubby and one of his sibs is adopted too. I’m so glad to see stories about it out there. As you say, perfectly wonderful people who can be family through adoption.
Sounds like a heartwarming story. Thanks for the review!
