The Delight

We enter the Stage Dive world once again with a short off-shoot story that gives you tingles while also leaves you wanting more. A little suspense, a lot of tension and getting to see the old gang again!

Closer is a short 1001 Dark Nights novel that brings us back into the Stage Dive world. You know Mal, by book boyfriend? Well, his wife is about to pop out a baby so he will just remain in my book of boyfriends.

A stalker is after plus sized model Mae Cooper and her friend isn’t taking any chances. When you live in a building with a lot of Stage Dive band members, there is bound to be security around. In walks Ziggy Thayer, ex-military and a hollatta of hotness! He is stoic, doesn’t break formation and protects Mae oh, so well. Mae is having indecent thoughts about her bodyguard, but she doesn’t know he is also having indecent thoughts about her.

The story moves quickly from the moment we start reading, Mae is in danger to the point when she isn’t and all bets are off. She is a strong woman who put up with a dosche ex-boyfriend and you get to watch her have the last word and thought about him. Her size is what makes her unique, but is also a beautiful woman in a picture or wearing sweats at home. Ziggy sees both sides and can’t take his eyes off her. Because the story is entirely from Mae’s POV we don’t really get to see much of the internal Ziggy…which is really sad.

A cute and quick story back in the world of rock and roll, without much rock and roll. Curious how many more of these off-shoots we can find?

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kylie Scott comes a new story in her Stage Dive series…

When a stalker gets too close to plus-size model Mae Cooper, it’s time to hire some muscle.

Enter former military man turned executive protection officer Ziggy Thayer. Having spent years guarding billionaires, royalty, and rock n roll greats, he’s seen it all. From lavish parties through to every kind of excess.

There’s no reason some Instagram stylista should throw him off his game. Even if she does have the most dangerous curves he’s ever seen…

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Glad you got a peek in with your favorite Mal. Good that the bodyguard romance worked well especially in novella form and both characters sound great.
