The Delight
The last book in a series is sometimes bittersweet. Mostly you want to see the cast of characters continuing into the future happy and in love. This series has been one to push my limits, but also hits on some themes I just don’t like. Mostly I am delighted I made it through the series even if I didn’t write the review right away!
Review
This story packed a whollop to my system with all the growly alphas, mystery and intrigue, the repressed submissive who thinks she is tough and a cast of characters you will never forget. Someone has been leaking this quartets secrets and it all comes down to the bar they always frequent. Gabe doesn’t want to believe it’s his best employee. The one he has wanted, but won’t cross a line to have. Now he suspects she is the one releasing the information to the tabloids.
McKenna has loved Gabe for some time and would never betray him, but when she finds out someone is leaking information she knows her brother is involved. Owing money to everyone and some bad people, she feels the need to once again fix this for her brother. The brother sh has always taken care.
Gabe turns into a man bent on revenge and payback, but he can’t seem to wrap his head around the sweet McKenna betraying him. Now it is a choice for McKenna to make. Will she choose the brother she has always looked out for, or choose the man she loves.
The story winds it’s way through some passionate, graphic sexual scenes while keep you on the edge with suspense. McKenna’s character may have been called in question, but I found her to be a confident, strong woman who had overcome a lot in her life. Gabe had life easier and was living it to the fullest with his bar and playboy persona. McKenna and Gabe have to take a deep look inside themselves and each other to overcome a situation that may not have any winners.

If I must read the last book, which I usually feel sad about it being the last one, I do love when all the former characters are brought back for a last hurrah. Tough choice for the heroine, here.
I probably like this one the best of the series. While I like some of these books, there are elements that were starting to get on my nerves. So I needed a break from her writing for a bit. Will get back to her once soon.
Glad to hear this was a good one. The story premise sounds like a good one.
It was pretty good series overall, but had it’s oh Hell no moments. This one was probably my favorite of them all even if it was the last book in the series.
I think this sounds like a really good one!
I love bad boy bar owners. Just makes me happy.
I don’t think that I have read this author yet. It is a little sad to see a series come to an end but it sounds like this one was well done. It sounds like McKenna was in a really difficult situation.
Stacey Kennedy is a great author, but I have had a few issues with some of the over alpha Doms being a little pushy. Every heroine seems to have pain that they have to dig into.
I can’t help but adore growly alphas. LOL
I like alpha Doms who own bars and think they are playboys. They fall so hard.
