Ash oh Ash, this one’s for you! Ash has been one of my favorite characters in the Dirty Series. He just wasn’t lucky in love. But I am delighted to say he finds it here, but I am afraid he might lose it if he isn’t careful.
Ashley Player is having another break up party. It’s not his first one either. It’s also not as healing as he thinks. This one though could be the one that changes everything. Drunk off his ass, pouring down rain, he sees a woman he thinks he met years ago at his other break up party and had her name tattooed in a very delicate place. Trying to hit on her, she escapes out the back of the store and now he doesn’t know if he dreamed it or not. But he is going to find out.
Danica knows who Ashley Player is and she knows he is mistaking her for her twin sister. Flustered she escapes, but can’t stop thinking about the soulful man who she crushes on from afar. She isn’t her sister and she won’t betray the sisterly bond. That doesn’t mean she can’t make him a client when he finds her. Now she is redecorating his condo and he is making some crazy demands.
Ashley finds out soon after he finds Danica she isn’t the one he met years ago who he thought was the one. He also isn’t going to get involved romantically again. Did that enough. He just wants to have some fun without all the hassle of falling in love. Just he doesn’t act like a guy who isn’t falling for the woman of his dreams even if he tries really hard.
Danica for her part knows he has been hurt and she is determined she will never be another in a long list to hurt him. She is the sweet wonderful woman you wish every hero could have. She’s shy, loyal, sweet and sexy all rolled into one. The complete opposite of her sister.
This is a hard romance. You don’t want Ash hurt again, but this is the female for him. He is also bi-sexual and while that doesn’t cause problems in this story, it might in the future. It doens’t help that Ash’s band broke up, but a new opportunity opens up with the first girl friend to dump him and she isn’t doing this for love, she’s doing it for business. Now these two spend a lot of time recruiting and smoozing. Lots of changes are coming. Will this cause even more problems.
This is a good start to a new series. I am sure Ash’s story isn’t over. It’s just getting even better. Just not sure how the author is going to do it. Looking forward to the next story of this new super band. It’s going to be Dirty and full of Players!
