The Delight
I jumped back into the Dark Protector world glad I didn’t have to wait to read most of the series without waiting. A mating that keeps the lovers apart for 100 years serves up some very lusty love scenes that will have you wilting in envy.
Review
Connlan Kayrs already had centuries of living when a night of passion with Moira Dunne ends with him marking her as his mate. Not prepared for the pressure of having a mate, but also honorable, he allows the witches to deal with the vampires to give her one hundred years to mature. She’s only twenty after all. While giving her one hundred years is a gift, time is up and he is coming to claim his mate.
Moira is the seventh daughter of the seventh daughter making her very powerful. It is expected she will join the Coven of Nine, who rule the the witches. Instead she joins the Enforcers to protect the Nine only to find they are disappearing into a swirling void and can’t be found. Ignoring the mating brand and hoping to put Conn off, she doesn’t bother telling him she’s fighting and in danger almost every day. She’s determined to keep her independence, job and living in her own country, but Conn has another idea of what will happen.
Connlan gave her the 100 years she needed to learn, grown and become the woman she needed to be, but time is up. He is coming to claim his mate only to find they are embroild in a mystery that is taking their Coven of Nine apart. Oh, and now that the demons have claimed the Realm as enemies, the witches are looking to do the same. Time is a luxury they don’t have now.
Hunted is a love story that took a detour and now must join once again. These two aren’t totally the same people they were when they met. Moira is now a professor, Enforcer and has built of her powers. Connlan also received her powers, and he spent time learning to create the little light up balls of energy between his hands. Not as powerful as his wife, but he is no slouch either.
Now they must learn to become partners in life, save the coven, and try not to die or get maimed in the process. Cheers to them! It was a dark, glorious ride through the Realm with twists and turns to drop any stomach. From page 1, I was snatched into a world that Ms. Zanetti set a trap to keep me trapped. And I didn’t want an early release!

This sounds like such a fun ride!
It was fun to get back into this world again.
Connlan and Moira sound like characters that I’d like! I really need to read Zanetti’s work!
I love Rebecca’s books. Very few or ones I would put down.
I love your reviews because it gives me the chance to enjoy the book all over again. 🙂
I am reading the series through. Kind of glad I don’t. have to wait for books, but it will eventually come a time when I am caught up.
I love her books so much. I’ve read a couple of these books and really liked them. I’m glad to hear you liked this one.
I am reading this series until I am caught up. I just decided I needed some steady reading of a series. Loving my time.
