I love the 1 Night Stand series of books. The theme is a company called 1NS knows what it is doing when it sets up blind dates. The stories span that one night with a HEA or Happy for Now theme.
Cody is a construction foreman who pretty much straight until he meets Sam, a stonemason on the job. Now he finds himself attracted beyond distraction when he is around Sam. When he see’s Sam has signed up with a dating service, Cody decides he needs to find out the side of him that likes men.
Sam can’t help falling for the very straight Cody. Sam is gay and doesn’t hide the fact even though Cody doesn’t know. To ease the desperation he feels for Cody, Sam signs up for a blind date.
The two are awkward and excited to find they are with the one they desire and have been matched, but Sam begins to worry that Cody is just exploring his gay side when Sam is looking for a long term relationship.
The story weaves you through both men and their fears. Cody being straight is coming to terms with the emotions and attraction he feels just for Sam. Sam is looking for a long term relationship and won’t hide his sexuality to make other comfortable. What I truly loved was how the men talked to each other and didn’t hide behind shyness or newness. They both had concerns and together they dealt with them.
I recommend this story to anyone who loves hidden romance coming to life and the following of the heart even though you have lived you life a certain way.

Ah, this sounds like a nice low angst story. I love your point that they communicate with each other.
