The Delight
We get to meet Mason and Dana now “dating” and getting to know each other. Both have agendas and neither want to bend. I was fascinated to see how this would turn out. I don’t think it’s going to be a nice ending… Since each story is a add on, spoilers will not be contained.
Mason is your average billionaire I guess since I don’t know any billionaires. He used money his mother gave him to build his business empire while his father wasn’t so great at business. He takes Dana back to the home she once resided in when her mother was married to his father (divorced now). When we first met Mason, I really didn’t like him. He was getting a blow job and sex from one of his subs (one of four) and is bored with his life. Money is no problem for him, but on the flip side he wants to do right by Dana and that means leaving her untouched by him.
Dana on the other hand wants this with a passion. She wants to make love with Mason and convince him they were meant to be a couple. Now she takes two weeks off from school and I see her only study one time, or at least attempt too. It all feels like the story is rushed. There isn’t any depth to Dana or Mason for the most part.
We get glimpses once again into their past and find out what happened prom night that made Mason leave and the two not see each other since. Mason doesn’t know Dana saw something that night and Mason never tells Dana why he left.
But when Dana needs a dress and she can’t afford to buy a new one even though Mason tries to convince her, she pulls down that prom dress to wear and all bets are off if she keeps her virginity. The two bang uglies and then the guilt fest starts for Mason as he isn’t particularly gentle. The two lock in passionate embraces and pounding sex with regrets on the side.
Sex convinces Dana more than ever they were meant to be together and convinced me just how immature she really is to think sex defined them as a couple. Faced with a Dana who doesn’t know his dark side, Mason issues a 3-day deal of sub-service to him in which she can leave at any time, but it will be over between them. He is determined to push her away for her own good while also keeping anything about their relationship out of the media.
With such a short story, I found myself shaking my head once again that the story lacked any real commitment or emotion. Onto the last installment due out August 11.

I don’t know how you can read this!!
Me either! I even finished the last one which went way off the deep end. Can’t like them all I guess.
How deep did the end go? Lol
Nope not my type of story at all. I think I would have stopped as soon as I found out they were step siblings. That’s just too close to being relatives. lol
Step siblings don’t bother me so much since I have had so many over the years and never consider them siblings. They aren’t related to me by blood and I never grew up with them in the house. So it really is how they are raised that gets to me.
This was just creepy from start to finish instead of sexy. Even if they would have been strangers, it would have turned me off.
Well you warned me that it didn’t improve on the first part. 🙂
Oh, it gets worse. Wait for Tuesday afternoon’s review of the final part.
I am sorry to hear this one wasn’t as good. I don’t like it when I can’t connect with the characters and when sex is the only thing keeping them together. I am guessing the last book will wrap things up and give them their happy ending at least? I don’t think this is a series for me.
It does wrap up this week and I just can’t recommend it. Just not the series for me.
