Each month, I will post up a pair (or more) of books. I would like you to vote on a choice. Yes! You will have the job of telling me what to read from my pile each month. I welcome your vote no matter what reason you choose (frivolous, serious or otherwise) that particular book and do share your reason in the comments just because I’m nosy. I will of course share my thoughts on the book itself in my review post.
The theme is heat and spice this month.
Candidate #1
Blank Canvas by Mari Carr
#1 Big Easy
Blurb:
Disillusioned by divorce, Jennifer’s about to discover her wild side, starting with a tattoo from Caliph. And continuing with submission, spankings, wax play…all under the skilled hands of her wickedly sexy tattoo master.
In this story, readers are introduced to Caliph Lewis and his family. Future books in the Big Easy series will feature stories about other siblings from the close-knit, fun-loving, rather unconventional Lewis family.

Candidate #2
One Gold Heart by Sadie Haller
#1 Dominant Cord
Blurb:
Finn Taylor is an asshole. So why does he keep showing up in Mac’s late-night fantasies as the Dom of her dreams? She can’t even ignore him, because she’s stuck working with the fellow musician for the Christmas concert season.
Mac Wallis is a mess, and Finn can’t fall for a submissive who’s so damaged she needs medication just to get through a performance. But he’s drawn to the beautiful oboist, even as he keeps pissing her off. He can’t resist trying to take care of her–in every way.

Even though I don’t Ike or read this kind of book, I went with what seemed to be the tamest. One Gold Heart. Enjoy!
LOL, yeah, tame is relative with these two. I picked erotic this month because I need an erotic read for my Romanceopoly challenge.
I voted for the Blank Canvas. Something about the cover just drew my attention.
They do have dark, fierce expressions on that cover. 🙂
Hmmmmmmmm #1
LOL, tough choice.
I voted for Blank Canvas as the tattoo angle sounds interesting and I like the sound of how the series will follow one family, I often like that in romance series.
Yeah, you don’t get a family element too often in erotic romances so I thought that was neat, too.
These are both new to me. I voted for Blank Canvas. I think that I have read and enjoyed this author in the past so it is worth a try! I hope you enjoy whichever book you end up reading.
An author rec sounds good. I think Shari has read Mari Carr before. I’ve not read either.
I picked One Gold Heart to get a glimpse of love in the classical music world.
I thought the music angle had appeal, too. Neat that its a non-rocker one which is the usual musical element.
Both look good, I voted for One gold Heart 🙂
Tough choice, right? 🙂
I have to say both are very appealing ….but the blurb to One Gold Heart is really intriguing. Hope you enjoy whichever one you decide on
I couldn’t decide, either. Thanks for helping, Renee! 🙂
I vote for Blank Canvas because it has better ratings on Goodreads and it’s only 101 pages. At least if it’s bad you won’t have to suffer through it too long, lol! 🙂
I like your strategy. 🙂
I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these books! I’m all for heat, spice, and romance!
Probably not! Blank Canvas ended up winning and its been great so far. Sexy stuff!
