Top Five Favorite Things About Bikers by Katie Ashley

(1). They are the ultimate badasses.

There’s something about a man wearing a leather cut while he’s seated on the back of a bike that is just a total middle finger to “the man”. Bikes represent freedom, and I think we all wish for a little freedom from the rigid aspects of our lives.

(2). They are sexy as hell( at least in books!)

I think most women find bikers sexy, whether they like to admit it or not. There’s something about a man in leather with tattoos that screams bad boy, and even the best of the Good Girls wants a bad boy from time to time.

(3). Their loyalty

Bikers have a live and die loyalty to the members of their club. There is something very endearing about that level of love and protection. Sure, they don’t always handle that protection legally, but it’s still nice to know that someone always has your back.

(4). They know how to party

When you think of biker clubs, you often think of rally’s where anything goes, and I do mean anything. Bikers are notorious, if not infamous, for their parties. However, most of the time, it’s just a group of people throwing back beers, listening to good music, and shooting pool.

(5). Their Philanthropy:

Yeah, that’s something people don’t always associate with bikers. However, most clubs engage in one, if not several, charity runs for kids and others in need.

Redemption Road by Katie Ashley

Looking for a walk on the wild side, Annabel Percy, the daughter of a powerful politician, gives in to an attraction to a sexy biker she meets one night. But she finds herself living a nightmare when she’s kidnapped and transported into a hell on earth she never could have imagined.

Born and bred into the Hells Raiders MC, Nathaniel “Reverend” Malloy lives and dies for his brothers. But when he becomes the unexpected savior of a rival club’s captive, Rev makes it his personal mission to nurse Annabel back to health—and to shelter her from the nightmares that torment her.

Once Annabel heals, she’s stunned to realize she is falling for the seductive man who saved her. Faced with their impossible attraction, can she accept the life he leads, or will Rev walk away from the only life he’s ever known for the woman he was never supposed to love?

I have, but I’ve been picky about it. Take the plunge and see what you think. Haha!

It’s a softer one, Debbie, in some ways, but still lots of grit.

Bikers in books are sexy, real club leader leave something to be desired. I think their life style would mostly scare a lot of people, at least the life style that some of these books focus on, take that and multiply it by more. I get it though, Sons of Anarchy made them look sexy as hell 😛 – On the other note, my husband owns a bike and I love it.

I think you’re right, Lily. I grew up in a motorcycle family and my uncle was a mechanic for the local Hells Angels. It’s not as romantic in real life. I love being up on a bike, too.

I’l admit it. Even though I’m deathly afraid of riding on a motorcycle, seeing a man riding one is is incredibly sexy, because it makes him seem so powerful. Loved this post! Hugs…ro

LOL! I love your honesty, Ro. There is more than one way to be brave, right? I do love the sight of a guy riding a bike, too.

I heard so many good things about this author, I really need to pick up one of her books soon! I haven’t read a lot of motorcycle books so far and my first association is more fear as just like Ro I wouldn’t dare and go on a motorcycle. Some bikers also have a bit of a intimidating look. I recently read Kelley Armstrong her book Visions and that did make me look a bit different at bikers and made me consider picking up more books with them. I think their loyalty and the freedom that comes with having a… Read more »

There is a wide variety of biker romances that still give the feel of the characters and setting. It took me a while to take the plunge, but I ended up liking the ones I picked up.

Oh yes, I find BIKES sexy. The bikers are the cherry on top if they fit the bill. But as I am a woman of this century, I’ll just get my own bike and be my own sexy biker. Let’s turn the tables here!

Haha! There you go. I love seeing women riders out there on the road. My neighbor rides her own bike with her husband.

I agree–there is something sexy about bikes. Although motorcycles terrify me. Too many deaths on them.

Me, too. My highschool crush rode a bike and it just made him even more delectable.
