Well, this is a subject dear to my book-loving heart as we near the end of 2020.  My eyes have been feasting on what is in store and my patience is limited so I’ll be glad to welcome these lovelies to my shelves just as soon as I’m able.

I’ll try to list them in release order, but some don’t have a release date yet or I’ve only got a rumor of their release so I’ll slip them in at the bottom.  And, most are in the first half of the year.

NO COVER

Playing With Fyre by Cara Bristol, sci-fi romance
This is the third installment in a series of alien dragon shifter/earth romances and intrigue.

A Stranger in Town by Kelley Armstrong, romantic suspense
This is part of the Casey Duncan/Rockton series about solving murders in an off grid town.

An Unexpected Peril by Deanna Raybourn, historical mystery
The latest in the Veronica Speedwell series that takes Veronica and Stoker to Switzerland

Wild Sign by Patricia Briggs, urban fantasy
Yes!  An Alpha and Omega book with an Anna and Charles adventure.

What the Devil Knows by CS Harris, historical mystery
The latest Sebastian St. Cyr with a Regency Era aristocrat willing to get dirty bringing cunning killers to justice.

A Good Day For Chardonnay by Darynda Jones, romantic suspense
Sunshine Vicram the new sheriff has more trouble in her small home town than city vice ever gave her in this second installment of the series.

NO COVER

Last Guard by Nalini Singh, paranormal romance
A fifth Psy-Changeling Trinity with interesting details like the characters and their race still unknown at this point.

Castle Shade by Laurie R. King, historical mystery
Mary and Sherlock head to Romania to investigate a possible vampiric mystery.

NO COVER

The Haunted Homecoming by Angie Fox, paranormal cozy mystery
So happy there are more Verity and Frankie ghostly adventures now that one big series arc mystery has been solved and her relationship with Ellis is on a better footing.

Drown Her Sorrows by Melinda Leigh, romantic suspense
More Bree, please!  And, yes, more mystery and romance with a certain K-9 handler.

I have two honorable mentions that are still in the writing stage and I am crossing my fingers they are released in 2021:  Sparks Transform by Carol Von Natta and an untitled Coletti Warlords by Gail Koger.

What new release are you most anticipating for next year?  Is there a series that you hope gets a new next installment finally?  Do Tell!

My thanks to Anne @ Books Are My Heart for hosting the Top Ten week-long event.  You can visit her site and see the schedule here:  https://booksofmyheart.net/2020/11/29/top-10-of-2020/

I was born and raised near Sacramento, CA. I have read since I was four years old and developed tastes that run the gamut of literature. I went away to college and have a degree in education, a certificate in family history research, and a certificate in social work. I worked for a non-profit agency with low income families for 20 years which included being responsible for the children’s library and promoting/teaching adult literacy. I have lived in Southeast Michigan for the last 18 years and I am currently a book addicted homemaker with a cat and husband who keep me grounded. Recently, I made it a challenge to review each book that I have read as a favor to author friends who said reviews are important. I have done reviews for Good Reads, Amazon, eBay, and Smashwords, but mostly at Goodreads and Amazon.

I can’t wait. 🙂

Wow I want. I didn’t know the titles of some of these but I will now be looking for them. I don’t think I’ll be far enough along with the CS Harris series unless it is coming out late in the year. But I’ll get to it eventually. Thanks so much for sharing in the fun / agony in picking all these favorites and celebrating them.

Yes, it was agony picking only ten. There are so many that I want to read next year. 🙂

There are so many good releases that are coming into 2021….I have no idea how I will limit the ones I will share this week. I am loving that cover to Wild Sign.

I hope you have a blast with all of these here.

Lots of good ones in the new year. 🙂 I need to get caught up, but then I’m definitely reading Blood Heir.

Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

I jumped ahead and have already read An Unexpected Peril and A Stranger in Town. I cannot wait to get my hands on Wild Sign. I hope you love all of these!

I was tempted to do it, but I had so many older ones that I had to catch up so I’m using these as incentives to get the older ones done. 🙂

Great list! I still have to catch up on that Kelley Armstrong series, but the books I read so far in that series were great. I am also hoping Sparks Transform by Carol Van Natta will release next year!

Honestly, I can’t remember names of books but I am looking forward to at least two new ones from Karina Halle from her Experiment in Terror series, a new one by J.T. Geissinger, one from Dannika Dark( hopefully 2) and so many more. Oh and I just found out one from Christina Lauren is coming as well.

If it weren’t for posts like this, I’d only have a vague idea that an author I’m following has a book out at some point. 🙂 Now, my anticipation is through the roof for these and more.

I join a lot of favorite authors Facebook groups so that really helps me. I’m probably in at least 8 different ones. Also, I follow some on Instagram and on Twitter. Keeps me usually informed.

Yes, that’s a great way to do it. A few on this list are there b/c I see books mentioned in author newsletters or social media.
