Untwisted is the follow up story to Twisted in the Lost in Oblivion series about a band that is at the start of stardom but somewhat falling apart as they all find love. Twisted is the love story of Jazz and Gray, members of Lost of Oblivion. If you haven’t read the book or review, then I suggest you skip reading this one because it will reveal spoilers as there isn’t a good way to review Untwisted without telling you a few secrets.
Gray is out of rehab and taking on side jobs writing songs for other bands to help pay back the debts he incurred from his drug habit. He’s clean, in love and looking forward to the birth of his child with Jazz, but still on the outs with his family over his brother. Jazz is doing great, but misses her man when he is away collaborating with other bands. He’s working hard to make a future for them, and she is trying to be very understanding when she gets a letter from her little sister and doesn’t know how to deal with it.
Gray and Jazz head off to visiter Jazz’s little sister while Gray secretly plans a wedding to his soul mate. Things go steadily down hill until it feels like Gray can’t do anything right and doing everything not to run to drugs again to solve them. Jazz is dealing with a lot of emotions that are exponentially worse while dealing with pregnancy hormones.
The story is a little much at times with how much Gray tries to do everything in secret and gets caught in a bad way when his intentions are good. It’s a love story of two people meant to be together, but dealing with a life neither really planned this way. Family crowds in, but not in the best way. Band members support and two people love deeply.
I used this story as a longer epilogue to the main story by jumping in right away. There are a lot of .5 stories in this series, so I plan to do the same thing with them.

That’s a good plan to treat this like a long follow up epilogue. Oy, the secrets…sigh. I can see how this would get full of drama fast with all those factors.
Like your tune. 🙂
I plan on starting book #3 soon and treating 3.5 the same way. Wish I had done that with book #1 and #1.5 but I skipped #1.5.
Gray really tries to make the wedding special, but it bites him in the ass. Poor guy is trying so hard.
Love this tune too.
Ahh on the family. I’ve read Quinn before but it’s been ages. One day I’ll get back round to hers. Man the TBR pile is long.
I have also read a few Quinn books before, but this by far is the best I have seen her write, but then again, I can’t tell which are written by the two different authors.
