An Affair With A Spare by Shana Galen

It’s been an age since I picked up a Shana Galen historical, but I feel her light, comedic approach to her historical romances makes it perfect lakeside fair.  Here’s the latest in her Survivors series that can be read standalone, An Affair With a Spare.  This one releases July 3rd.

Series: The Survivors #3
Genres: Historical Romance
Released on July 3, 2018
Pages: 384

He’s turned seduction into an art form…

Rafe Beaumont, fifth son of an earl, uses his irresistible charm with the ladies to glean dangerous war secrets. Now he’s putting those skills to the ultimate test: capturing an elusive assassin by seducing his daughter. The problem? She’s entirely immune to Rafe’s flattery.

Never before has Collette Fortier met a man as attractive as Rafe. But her father’s life is at stake, and succumbing to Rafe would be disastrous. But when Rafe turns the tables on her, offering support and friendship instead of a fleeting affair, Collette finds herself tempted in ways she never could have imagined…

I really enjoyed the first book in this series but still need to read this one. I do like Shana Galen’s writing.

I like her stuff, too. She has a light way of telling a story even when things are quite serious. Her focus on family and friends has always been a highlight, too.

I’ve read a couple reviews about this one and it sounds SO good.

I think so, too. I meant to read it this summer and never got to it. Ugh.

Mary Kirkland

I haven’t read her before.

She takes a light and sometimes humorous approach, especially in her older ones. I’ve only been hit or miss with her stuff b/c I have to be in the right mood, but I do like it.
